THIS PIECE IS THE FIRST CAST FROM A MOLD THAT WAS DESTROYED. I SuBSequently reworked the original and made a new mold. It is, therefore, a one-of-a-kind. I added the plate on his back with the quote after several of the pictures were taken. The quote says in French 'when you're up to your neck in shit there's nothing left to do but sing'.

Anyone who opens this up knows who Sam is, or they should check Wikipedia. Existentialist playwrite, craggy face, Irishman lived in Paris during the War with the likes of Sartre and Gide.... glad to have added him to the collection.
